263 – Thermal Imaging Cameras RU244TK

Domestic experts at Iran’s defense industry have managed to design and manufacture thermal imaging infrared cameras to be used for a range of anti-armor guided missile systems.
The Iranian Defense Ministry experts have manufactured thermographic cameras to be installed on various anti-armor missile systems, including Toofan, Dehlavieh, and Tosan.
They have built “RU244TK” thermographic cameras with cooled infrared detectors and “RU150TK” with uncooled detector technology.
A thermographic camera (also called an infrared camera or thermal imaging camera) is a device that forms an image using infrared radiation, similar to a common camera that forms an image using visible light.
Thermographic cameras can be broadly divided into two types: those with cooled infrared image detectors and those with uncooled detectors.
Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.
Other important points of these cameras are fast installation and no need to align with the rocket launcher.
Ability to be installed on moving platforms, using the third generation cooling and non-cooling detector cell, adaptation of daily and thermal image, high image quality and using rechargeable batteries are other features of this system.
