Sepehr Radar is The longest-range radar in Iran, its usual range is 2500 km, which can be changed from 800 km to 3000 km.
Sepehr radar is a type of over-horizon radar that by emitting a special frequency radar beam towards the atmosphere, it can observe the earth and sky of the specified area far beyond the amount that can be covered by ordinary radars.
this radar can reflect waves with a specific frequency band from the Earth’s atmosphere to detect both air and ground targets over long distances and act as the first early warnings in the air defense network.
Sepehr radar system is able to detect and identify “very low radar cross-section targets, medium and high altitude and small aircraft targets, ballistic missiles, semi-ballistic missiles and cruise missiles.”
