161- “RU-20 Thermographic Camera”

Thermal systems are built to provide better day and night combat capability to detect and engage targets with good concealment and camouflage. This device creates an image using infrared radiation, similar to a common camera that forms an image using visible light.
Iran’s Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces has developed a type of thermographic camera that can be mounted on a helmet, allowing the user to observe the entire surrounding environment at night and in adverse weather conditions during combat.

This camera using a third-generation detector cell, low weight and capability to be mounted on the helmet or used manually allows the user to see in the dark or foggy weather and standby in less than 4 seconds.
The camera weighs 300 gr and can be used in temperature range of -25 ° C to +55 ° C. The RU-20 camera operates at 14 nm and has a 4x zoom capability.
